Load objects such as lighting devices and other stage equipment can be removed from their association with rigging objects—both in the model and in schematic views. When an associated load is moved in the model, it retains its association with a rigging object until one of the following methods for disassociation is used.

Rigging

As described in Managing loads, the Manage Loads tool is available for objects in the model and schematic views.

To disassociate one or more loads from a rigging object:

1.      Click the tool and mode.

Alternatively, to disassociate a load from its hanging position, select the hanging position, and select Remove from Hanging Position from the drop-down context menu of the load to disassociate.

2.      Select a rigging object.

3.      Click the loads to disassociate. The currently associated loads are highlighted as the cursor moves over them.

The loads are disassociated from the rigging object.

The disassociated loads are not automatically moved off of the rigging object, but they no longer move and rotate with it.

If schematic views were created from the rigging object, the corresponding loads are deleted from all schematic views; see Concept: Schematic views.

In addition to the Manage Loads tool, a context menu command can be used to remove loads from a schematic view. This does not affect the model; see Concept: Schematic views.

To disassociate a load from a schematic rigging object:

1.      Do one of the following:

        To disassociate a single schematic load, select the load to disassociate.

        To disassociate multiple loads, select the associated schematic rigging object.

A drop-down context menu displays on the schematic load(s).

2.      Select the command.

The load is deleted from the schematic view.
